Florida Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) provides funding for Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) and is a federal and state funded program, designed to support people who have a barrier to employment, whether physical, developmental, or emotional. Those who qualify for the program become clients of vendor partners such as WOU, who work to find meaningful employment for the client with a local area employer. The program is beneficial for both the employer and the client – an employer gets an employee who is eager to learn and happy to be working, and the client receives valuable vocational experience and on-the-job training (OJT).

Hotel Planner, a hotel planning company in West Palm Beach, has been a very supportive business partner to WOU and has embraced the OJT program.  Recently our team met with and toured the Hotel Planner offices to meet with the team.

Both Ralph (and Savannah the Guide Dog) and Georgia have recently completed their OJTs and have been successfully converted to core team members as customer service representatives.  In addition, there are two other OJTs successfully in process and two more starting shortly.   Thank you to Hotel Planners for the wonderful culture you’ve created and your commitment to our core value, “we build successful, reciprocal relationships!”
