Krista’s first job was as a cart collector, however she always wanted to be a cashier. When Krista began services with Work Opportunities Unlimited she was unemployed. The team began job development to help her reach the goal of being a cashier. After a year of job development Krista obtained a job at Wal-Mart as a part time cashier. She began working in June of 2009. Krista was very proud of her achievement; she could prove to her friends and her family that in spite of lack of high school diploma or GED, she was able to be a cashier.
Krista worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier for almost a year until she decided to move on. She provided very friendly customer service, and customers liked her a lot. Krista loved to have conversations with customers and she always remembered regular customers of Wal-Mart. She was very proud of her accomplishment of becoming a cashier when others thought it wasn’t possible.
