Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) announces the promotion of Lydia Safford to Director-in-Training for the Concord market, effective March 2026. Lydia will lead, coach, and support her team in providing the highest-quality employment and adult and student services to clients throughout the region.
Lydia joined Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) in 2024 as a Career Resource Specialist (CRS) in the Manchester Market and was later promoted to Team Leader for the Concord Market. Prior to joining WOU, Lydiia worked in human services, the hospitality industry, and home healthcare. “From the very beginning of my journey with WOU, I’ve experienced what makes this organization so special. From its supportive culture to its mission of helping individuals ‘Try Another Way,’ it has been both a privilege and a joy to be part of WOU and the meaningful work we do every day.”
Lydia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Biola University in La Mirada, California. She and her partner reside in the greater Manchester area. In her free time, Lydia enjoys spending time outdoors and reading thrillers and true crime novels.
