Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) announces the promotion of Emma Samardzic to Director-in-Training for the Lancaster, PA Market, effective June 2026. Emma will lead, coach, and support her team in providing the highest-quality employment and adult and student services to clients throughout the region.
Emma joined Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) in 2024 as a Career Resource Specialist (CRS) after spending two years as an analytic chemist. “WOU allows me to advocate for and empower underrepresented individuals by helping them find community, purpose, and independence through employment. Every day brings new opportunities for growth—for both the people we serve and for me. I’m proud to be part of WOU’s supportive culture and our commitment to adapting and staying relevant to the communities we serve.”
Emma earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Gettysburg College. She resides in the Greater Lancaster area with her husband and their dog. In her free time, they enjoy exploring everything the region has to offer, from the scenic Amish countryside to the vibrant city of Lancaster.
