DOVER, N.H., March 2, 2018—Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU), a community-based employment service provider specializing in placing job seekers with barriers to employment, is pleased to announce the promotions of Tammy Thornton to Assistant Controller and Sue Hamel to Payroll Manager.
Ms. Thornton joined WOU’s team as a general accountant in April 2017, after many years in the accounting field. A resident of Newmarket, NH, she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business from Southern New Hampshire University. Most recently, she was responsible for managing accounts payable for a local manufacturer.
Ms. Hamel gained significant experience in various accounting positions before joining WOU’s accounting team in late 2017. She came to WOU from a fixed asset accountant role with Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc. She earned her associate degree from Northern Essex College and resides in Hampton, NH.
