DOVER, N.H., March 27, 2018—Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU), a community-based employment service provider specializing in placing job seekers with barriers to employment, is pleased to announce that Marcia Welsh has been promoted to vice president and controller for the organization, effective immediately.

Ms. Welsh joined WOU’s accounting team in 2015 as assistant controller. Under the tutelage of retiring Vice President and Controller Jeanne Prendergast, Ms. Welsh spent the last several years learning the many complexities of the organization’s accounting operations. In her new role, she will oversee all financial functions for Work Opportunities Unlimited from its Dover headquarters.

Ms. Welsh earned a bachelor’s degree in business studies with concentrations in accounting and business finance from Southern New Hampshire University and was formerly a staff accountant at a local CPA firm. She and her husband reside in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
