article_scott_niemczuraScott Niemczura was recently promoted to Director of Work Opportunities Unlimited’s Concord office, due to his hard work, dedication and significant contributions to the team. In his new role, Scott has a variety of responsibilities, including working with clients and employees, supporting new business development, implementing a strategic plan, overseeing the office’s finances and, most importantly, working with the Concord team members to help find job opportunities for clients.

Scott has been with Work Opportunities Unlimited for three years. He started as a Business Developer, was promoted to a Team Leader, and is now the Director for the organization’s Concord, NH services. His favorite parts of the job are helping people meet their goals and find jobs, and working as part of a wonderful team.

Work Opportunities Unlimited has experienced substantial growth in their Concord office, in large part due to Scott’s efforts.

“Scott has absolutely contributed to our Concord office’s significant growth. He has been an integral part of ensuring quality client services, expanding clients’ hours and responding to new referrals in our supported employment program,” said David Dwyer, Senior Vice President and Vocational Division Leader at Work Opportunities Unlimited. “Additionally, he has worked very closely with our new business development team member. He was very involved in her training and development and, from that, we’ve tripled our client services and placement outcomes.”

This time last year, the Concord Office had seven placements. This year, they have 20, which is a 185% difference. Over the past year, the biggest area of growth has been their Vocational Rehabilitation program.

“Scott has a great vision of where he wants to take our programs and where our clients could work. He’s a very fast learner and maintains a tremendous focus on employment, helping individuals get jobs, which has been a huge success in the Concord office. He works very well with the CRS team, ensuring that everyone’s working collaboratively,” David continued. “The senior management team was happy to give him the promotion that he truly earned and deserved.”

Scott attributes their recent growth to several things: the great team in the Concord office, and the strong relationships they’ve established with funding sources, local businesses and clients.

As a Director, Scott realizes that many successes – including the office’s growth and increased client placements – are because the team is working collaboratively and conscientiously. He gives major credit to the Career Resource Specialists (CRSs) on his team for working tirelessly on their clients’ behalf.

“Sarah Heffner has helped build our Vocational Rehabilitation program from the ground floor. She has done a great job implementing a proven business development process, which is evident in the number of placements she has achieved in her first year with the company. The Supported Employment team, including Diane LaFrance, Kevin Luebkert, Tracy Rondeau, Kim Swenson, Lisa Lavallee, Danielle Arnold, Amber McAnallen and Alan Dobrowolski work together to meet the needs – and ensure the success – of everyone they work with on a daily basis,” Scott explained. “Everyone on the team should get credit for our successes because without each of their contributions, our office wouldn’t be where it is today.”

Prior to joining the Work Opportunities Unlimited team, Scott worked for the Wireless Zone in Dedham, MA, helping customers manage their cell phone plans and equipment. Before that, he worked in various roles at Big Y Supermarkets.

He recently moved to Concord, NH from Laconia, NH. Previously, he lived in Massachusetts.

When he’s not working at Work Opportunities Unlimited, Scott enjoys golfing with his wife, playing softball, and playing video games. A self-professed “techie geek”, he enjoys all sorts of consumer electronics, from televisions to surround sound equipment. He also loves watching baseball and football and managing his fantasy teams.
