The Annapolis team at WOU was invited to participate in Way2Work Maryland’s facilitation of work-based learning experiences for students in their junior and senior years of high school. Bringing together resources to secure amazing work experiences for these students, Way2Work coordinated monthly meetings and partnerships with the school system, the Division of Rehabilitation Services, and providers such as WOU, with the goals of helping students find work, including volunteer work, internships, and a paid job that matches their interests, skills, and abilities. WOU worked with two of the students featured in this video, Chris, and Lucy, to complete three programs that have helped them to grow as valued team members and to learn more about the world of work. We are so proud to have been part of these student’s journeys and help them on the path to their careers after finishing school!
