Whitney Ritt – Director, East Bay, RI

As Director of Career Services for WOU’s East Bay market, Whitney is responsible for managing a team of Career Resource Specialists (CRS), supporting individuals in achieving their employment goals, ensuring quality services are delivered to clients, referral sources and employers, and fostering the creativity and growth of her team members.
Whitney joined WOU in 2013 as a Career Resource Specialist, where she provided direct support to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. She graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York with a bachelor’s degree in sociology, holds a Supporting Meaningful Employment Certificate from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE), and was appointed to WOU’s leadership council in 2017.
Originally from Vermont, Whitney is a passionate environmentalist who dedicates her free time to raising awareness of sustainability and recycling in her community. She is a member of the Norman Bird Sanctuary in Middletown, RI where she hikes and explores year-round. An avid sailor, Whitney enjoys sharing her love of the sport by volunteering with the Special Olympics RI sailing program.
