Melissa Medina – Director, Suffolk County
Melissa began her career with WOU in 2018 as a Career Resource Specialist for the Quincy market then evolved to Team Leader in 2020, Program Coordinator in 2022 and Director-in-Training in February 2024. Melissa was promoted to Director in September 2025. She will lead, coach, and support her team in providing the highest-quality employment and adult and student services to clients throughout the Greater Boston region.
Before WOU, Melissa spent two years as a college advisor at College Advising Corp and Freedom House, helping students navigate the college admissions process. Melissa earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She resides in the greater Boston area with her two children. She enjoys spending time with her family exploring Boston’s many treasures, including its fabulous restaurants.
