Elena Stroeble – Regional Director, Boston MA

Elena Gendron

In Elena’s role as Regional Director of Work Opportunities Unlimited, she oversees the operations of the Boston and North Shore offices and all of our Maine locations. She is responsible for ensuring that offices continue to provide clients with service that meets or exceeds WOU’s high standards when helping them find meaningful employment.

Elena has worked in human services/business management for 14 years and volunteered for a number of organizations including Habitat for Humanity in Rach Gia, Vietnam, Zambia, Africa and Los Angeles, CA; Food on Foot in Los Angeles; D.A.R.E. leadership camps; and lifeguarding for those with special needs. In search of a fulfilling and meaningful career, she joined WOU in 2009 as a Career Resource Specialist, was promoted to Director-in-Training in January of 2010, and became a Director of the Boston office one year later. In May of 2018, Elena was promoted to her current role of Regional Director. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in management through the Harvard University Extension School.

While her career and school work keep her quite busy, Elena devotes her remaining free time to her family.
