Nick Mastrella – Director, Saco ME

Nick is Director of York County Supported Employment Program, a service of Work Opportunities that cultivates and promotes community-based employment and volunteer programs for individuals with disabilities. In his role, Nick oversees the York County team to ensure the highest quality services are being provided to over 75 individuals in York County who receive work support and community support services. Nick is also responsible for making sure all team members and individuals are meeting their own goals and objectives.
After joining Work Opportunities in 2009 as a Career Resource Specialist in the Portland/Brunswick, ME market, Nick quickly became a team leader of Business Development, securing community-based employment for clients in all market areas that WOU provides services. He also assisted Work Opportunities’ sister company, Leddy Group, as a Resource Specialist. In 2016, Nick was promoted to Director-in-Training, where he led the charge of the newly-formed Framingham market in cultivating reciprocal relationships with area businesses in need of a skilled workforce.
Originally from Rochester, New York, Nick graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelor’s in sociology. A drummer since he was five years old, Nick played in several bands throughout college and with a few bands since moving to Maine. Drumming has taken a temporary back seat so Nick can spend his free time raising his daughters.
