Work Opportunities Broadens Reach into Martin County
Appoints Lisa Jaloski to Lead New Market
DOVER, N.H., July 03, 2019—Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU), a community-based employment service provider specializing in placing job seekers who experience barriers to employment, recently opened a Martin County, Florida, office to meet the continued growing demand for its services in Southeast Florida. Lisa Jaloski has been appointed as director and will oversee the newly created market.
Prior to this expansion, Martin County was serviced by WOU’s West Palm Beach office, which also serviced Broward County. The Martin County office will now service northern Palm Beach County into Martin County and the West Palm Beach office will cover southern Palm Beach County into Broward County.
A long-time member of the local community, Jaloski was chosen for the director position after serving in several roles within WOU. She joined the organization in 2014 as a career resource specialist and was promoted to team leader in 2015 and into her current position in May of 2019. As director, she will lead the Martin County team in providing the organization’s services to the local market and cultivate and manage relationships with clients, area businesses, employers, and others to help connect the community with WOU’s services.
“I’m honored to be a part of such an awesome team here in South Florida,” Jaloski commented. “I am excited to expand the great work we do into Martin County.”
Sue Abel, director of WOU’s West Palm Beach office, said, “Lisa’s ability to evaluate and match a candidate with the business workplace culture has resulted in many long-term, ongoing business partnerships. We look forward to Lisa expanding WOU’s reach north to Martin County and continuing to help more businesses and individuals make great job matches.”
Before joining WOU, Jaloski had an extensive career with the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida as a medical case manager/prevention and education coordinator. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s in psychology and has been awarded internally for her participation in WOU’s Discovery Services program, requiring team members to surpass additional standards in helping clients find community-based employment.
Outside of work, Lisa volunteers back to the community in which she was raised by serving on the board of her son’s high school baseball team and until recently was the president of her daughter’s softball team. In addition, she has been involved with the Junior League of the Palm Beaches since 1999.
