Sue Abel

Sue is Regional Director of the Palm Beach, Broward County and Treasure Coast regions of Florida. As Regional Director, she enjoys supporting Directors and their teams—whom she considers dedicated professionals with a passion for WOU’s mission—in helping individuals with barriers secure employment in the division’s communities.
Since joining WOU in 1987 as Employment Representative, Sue has held several positions during her tenure: Vice President of Field Services for six states; Vice President of WOU’s Maine division, where she developed four new offices in the state; and Director of WOU’s Portland and Biddeford offices; and Director of Palm Beach and Broward. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of South Carolina and was formerly a member of Maine Rehabilitation Association.
Sue and her husband Scott are members of the North Palm Beach Yacht Club and enjoy boating and socializing with other members. They also enjoy competing in trivia and dog sitting for friends and family.
Iskedar Ayalew

Iskedar is the Regional Director directly overseeing Career Services in Work Opportunities Unlimited’s Montgomery, Annapolis and Frederick markets. She plans and directs the activities of her team in carrying out their functions of developing referrals from a variety of sources, developing placement sites, and ensuring the delivery of quality services to all customers. Iskedar also led WOU’s effort to become approved for and initiate services in Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining WOU, Iskedar held positions at a non-profit organization that focuses on children’s advocacy, legislative reform, and access/visitation services and at an organization that fosters academic and career development through technology skills training for youth and adults in the community. Iskedar joined WOU in 2010 as a Career Resource Specialist, was promoted to Team Lead in 2011, then to Director in 2013, and finally into her current role as Regional Director in 2016.
Iskedar graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Family Science and is certified in behavioral principles and strategies, autistic spectrum disorders, and CPR/first aid. In addition, she is a Certified Employment Support Specialist. Outside of WOU, Iskedar feeds her love of travel with adventures around the globe, including her favorite destinations of Egypt, Maldives, and Spain. When at home, she enjoys cooking, entertaining, and completing DIY projects around her house.
Tiffney Bergeron- Allard

As Regional Director, Tiffney is responsible for leading three teams in achieving employment outcomes for people with barriers to employment. This includes our regions of North Central, Lowell, and Worcester Massachusetts. As part of that responsibility, she develops and manages yearly strategic plans and manages a group of Directors and Career Resource Specialists in creating and implementing goals to drive outcomes in their area offices.
Tiffney began with WOU in 2010 as Area Director and was promoted to Regional Director in 2016, when company growth required additional management talent to supervise Area Directors. She joined WOU after spending two years as a Treatment Coordinator at a family service organization, where she worked with families in creating treatment plans to address their child’s behavioral, emotional, or intellectual disabilities.
A resident of Rhode Island, Tiffney graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s in Education and English language and literature. When she’s not indulging her love of travel, Tiffney spends her free time by the water and with her husband, daughter, and two small dogs.
Darlene Hayden

As Regional Director, Darlene oversees all NH locations for Work Opportunities Unlimited. She took on this role in July of 2021. She was promoted into the role of Regional Director in February 2018 from her position as Director, where she oversaw the implementation of services with the Department of Developmental Services, Department of Children and Families, Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, and Department of Youth Services.
A graduate of Fitchburg State College with a degree in elementary education and a concentration in psychology, Darlene was drawn to Work Opportunities after recognizing that the organization’s mission and core values closely aligned with her desire to work with youth and help make a difference in people’s lives.
Darlene participates in the Department of Health and Human Services Bureau of Developmental Services Steering Committee. She spends her remaining free time with her family, traveling, and attending her son’s sporting events.
Salsawit “Salsi” Mane

Salsi is Regional Director of Career Services, responsible for overseeing and managing WOU’s offices in the Prince George County of Maryland, District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Harrisburg, PA. She also administers services to referrals from area governmental agencies and schools and manages supported employment, community learning and employment discovery services for DDA, VR and PGPS populations.
After joining WOU in 2008 as a Career Resource Specialist, Salsi was promoted to Team Leader in 2009 and again promoted to Director in January of 2011. A graduate of Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky, she earned a B.A. in human services and counseling. She has received additional training in behavioral principles and strategies, as well as autistic spectrum disorders. She is also a certified Mandt instructor.
A true people person, Salsi enjoys working at WOU as it affords her the opportunity to not only help people, but learn from them, too. When she’s away from the office, she spends time with her two sons and husband, travels with a large group of friends and family, and rides her bicycle.
Bill Mullin

Bill is the Regional Director responsible for the Business Development Team and the services being provided by the Braintree and Taunton Teams. He is tasked with developing and achieving strategic planning goals and expectations through each fiscal year, supporting the team members with training and on-the-job support, and directing services for local school districts, Vocational Rehabilitation, Supported Employment, and Department of Children and Families.
Prior to joining Work Opportunities Unlimited, Bill spent nearly a decade as Shift Supervisor at a regional grocery store where he had the opportunity to work with individuals with different backgrounds and abilities, which led to his desire to work in the human services field. He joined WOU in 2009 as a Career Resource Specialist and was quickly promoted to Team Lead, and again promoted in 2011 to South Shore Director. With the growing demand of WOU’s services in the area, the South Shore divided into two teams, Braintree and Taunton, at which time Bill was promoted into his current position.
Bill received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Bridgewater State University and attended Connecticut School of Broadcasting. He is an avid Boston sports fan, and at one point worked in video production for live professional wrestling events.
Elena Stroeble

In Elena’s role as Regional Director of Work Opportunities Unlimited, she oversees the operations of the Boston and North Shore offices and all of our Maine locations. She is responsible for ensuring that offices continue to provide clients with service that meets or exceeds WOU’s high standards when helping them find meaningful employment.
Elena has worked in human services/business management since 2004 and has volunteered for a number of organizations including Habitat for Humanity in Rach Gia, Vietnam, Zambia, Africa, Los Angeles, CA and Boston, MA; Food on Foot in Los Angeles; D.A.R.E. leadership camps in Lowell, MA; and lifeguard swimming programs for those with special needs. In search of a fulfilling and meaningful career, she joined WOU in 2009 as a Career Resource Specialist, was promoted to Director-in-Training in January of 2010, and became a Director of the Boston office one year later. In May of 2018, Elena was promoted to her current role of Regional Director. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in management through Harvard University.
Elena enjoys traveling the road less traveled while exploring new cultures and food. She loves spending any free time with her family, exploring nature, playing games/art & crafts with her children, and by giving back to her community.
Trisha Wagner

In her role as Regional Director, Trisha oversees the operations of the Providence, Blackstone, and Springfield markets. A territory that includes all of Rhode Island, western and southeastern Massachusetts. She is responsible for ensuring all three markets are meeting their goals by training CRSs, leading the RI state audits, and cultivating an environment where consumers, business, counselors, and team members are 100% satisfied with the services provided.
Trisha has been with WOU since February 2010, originally hired as a Business Developer and later promoted to Director of Career Services. She joined WOU after heading the Integrated Arts Program for three years at LaSalle Academy. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College and achieved certification in Supporting Meaningful Employment through the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators.
Trisha spends her free time with family and friends while still exploring her artistic side through painting.
